A financing request becomes more credible when the use of proceeds is specific. “Growth capital” is an objective. A lender needs to understand whether the capital will fund equipment, inventory, leasehold improvements, an acquisition deposit, a refinance, a partner buyout, or a receivable cycle.
The same principle applies to the proposed repayment source. A strong lender narrative connects the requested capital to the cash flow, asset sale, refinance, completed project, or operating performance that will repay it.
